Ruger MKIV Recall

09.06.2017

Ruger recently discovered that all Mark IV™ pistols (including 22/45™ models) manufactured prior to June 1, 2017 have the potential to discharge unintentionally if the safety is not utilised correctly.

PLEASE BE ADVISED TO IMMEDIATELY STOP USING YOUR RUGER MKIV PISTOL and return it to place of purchase.

Your firearm will then be returned to NIOA where it will receive a Ruger authorised update to the safety mechanism. Once repaired, the pistol will be returned to your dealer with an additional magazine to help compensate for any inconvenience caused.

There may be some Mark IV pistols in Australia that were not imported by NIOA, these firearms will need to be returned to the dealer responsible for their importation.
